Every bride wants that unmistakable wedding-day glow, but few realise it starts long before the makeup chair. The truth is that stress, sleepless nights, and missed meals can take a bigger toll than you think. They show up exactly where you don’t want them, on your skin, hair and energy.

“Most brides don’t realise how much wedding stress, late nights and poor nutrition can dull their skin and weaken their hair,” says Shradha Sounil Khanna, AVP, Nutrition & Research at Wellbeing Nutrition. “But when you support your body from within, you can protect your glow no matter how busy things get.”

So if you’re a bride to be wishing for clear, glowing skin, stronger hair and calm energy to your big day, here’s exactly how to build it from the inside out

The Core Essentials Brides Should Use

Start With Real Food, Not Fads

No wedding planning season is perfect there will be late dinners, dessert tastings and skipped meals. Instead of extreme diets that promise quick fixes, start with the basics.

“Nutrition + targeted supplementation is non-negotiable. While meals set the foundation, supplements help bridge nutrient gaps and protect you from the toll of stress, ensuring you look and feel your best on your big day,” Khanna said.

A balanced plate with enough protein, good fats, colourful vegetables and enough water is non-negotiable. It keeps your skin hydrated, supports natural collagen and helps your gut stay calm under stress.

    Fill The Gaps Smartly

When the chaos kicks in, even good meals aren’t enough to keep nutrient levels steady. “Supplements help bridge the gaps that stress and poor sleep can create,” said Khanna.

She recommends a few key players :

    • Collagen: Keeps skin smooth and supports hydration from within.

    • Omega-3: Helps manage redness, flare-ups and skin barrier health.

    • Probiotics: A healthy gut often means fewer breakouts and a calmer stomach during big events.

    • Hair blends: Look for biotin and root-strengthening nutrients to help reduce stress-related shedding.

    • Magnesium or Ashwagandha: These help calm the mind, support deeper sleep and balance stress hormones.

Build a Routine That Feels Natural

Instead of worrying about complicated charts, stick to a routine you can actually follow even when things get busy.

Khanna recommends, “Take your skin and gut supplements first thing in the morning. Meanwhile, Omega-3s and hair vitamins should be paired with meals.” Try to use stress-balancing blends in the evening; these daily habits really add up over time.

Little Habits That Go a Long Way

Drinking water consistently through the day (not just chugging it before bed), getting enough rest, and supporting your liver with a light detox tea after indulgent dinners can make a big difference. “Your glow doesn’t come from a single superfood, it comes from what you do consistently, every day,” says Khanna.

    When To Start?

“Start 3–6 months before the big day”, recommends Khanna,  so your body has enough time to respond and build a lasting glow. “Begin with the basics, probiotics, a multivitamin, omega-3, collagen and a good hair-nail supplement. Add skin fuel, magnesium, NAC, and detox blends about three months out for an extra boost.”

And while these habits can be a helpful guide, your body knows best. Always check in with your doctor before starting anything new.
