The Internet’s new boyfriend Adam Brody just got swoonier (if that’s possible)

Thanks to Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, the world is witnessing the renaissance of Adam Brody’s boyfriend-ness. We, millennials, would vouch for his crush-worthy status (hello, Seth Cohen from The O.C.), and now a whole new generation can accept what we knew to be true.
The fact that he has been married to fellow millennial pop culture icon Leighton Meester, AKA Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf, is just a cherry on top of this attractive sundae.
In a recent appearance on the Today With Hoda & Jenna show. The actor opened up about the “magic of marriage” with the two hosts. According to him, it all comes down to the person you marry. “Oh, pick someone good,” he said, on being asked by co-host Hoda Kotb’s question of what it took to reach the 10-year mark with Leighton, “Be lucky and be in love with someone who’s great, and then just kind of listen to them.”

He elaborated that marriage requires dedication and effort, saying, “If you’re with someone great, you’re on third base,” he admitted. “Not that it doesn’t take sacrifice and humility—and you have to grow together and you have to be willing to grow because you’re not going to be able to stay 100 percent right where you are. But, if you’re with someone wonderful, I think you’re on third base.”
The two have been notorious for staying out of the public’s eye, they were one of the pioneers of the ‘Relationship Hard Launch’ movement back in 2013, so any little tidbit about their life is gold for their fans. Over the years, there have been a few times when the two have candidly opened up about their relationship.

In an episode ofPodcrushed, Adam said, “There's a trope that marriage is hard. I don’t think so. In its best form, it shouldn't be.” In the same episode, he went on to add, “Even though it's the most pleasurable thing in my life it's not always instant pleasure. There's a lot of compromise and pride swallowing. But we're very fortunate.”
If anyone is looking for us, we’d be in the corner re-watching The O.C. episodes. Thank you!
