    Minimoon Guide

    Where to go:

Corsica is where French finesse meets Italian soul, but not in the way you’d expect. It’s quieter, rawer, a little wilder. Which is exactly why, when September rolls around and the summer crowd retreat, I find myself drawn to this island in France, carved out of stone, sea, and history. It’s where romance feels real. Where time slows. Where a minimoon can feel like the two of you are the only ones who’ve ever discovered it.

    Where to stay:

    Hotel Casadelmar

Surrounded by three hectares of fragrant Mediterranean gardens, Casadelmar is a private jewel on Corsica’s southeast coast. What makes Casadelmer perfect for couples is how effortlessly it brings together intimacy and indulgence. Whether it’s lounging by the 25m infinity pool that mirrors the sea, wandering through Jean Mus’s dreamlike gardens, or slipping into the spa for a personalised myBlend treatment, every detail invites you to slow down and connect with nature, yourself, and each other.

    What to eat:

Drawing on Corsica’s geography, the cuisine brings together fresh coastal ingredients and hearty mountain flavours. Expect seafood caught just offshore, local cheeses like Brocciu, and sweet-savoury surprises using island honey and wild herbs.

    Le Point de Vue

    Hot Springs

Make your way to Bains de Caldane, Alta Rocca, where you’ll find three natural hot springs that have drawn people in since Roman times. Carved into granite and warmed to 37° Celsius, they’re best enjoyed in near-silence: the only timer is a sun-bleached clock face urging your 20-minute stay. Cross to the chalet for a message and let the sulphur-rich steam carry your worries away.

    Hikes

Lace up your boots for Corsica’s Mare à Mare (sea-to-sea) trek: from Porto-Vecchio to Cartalavonu plateau, 14 km of pine-fringed paths, river crossings, and limestone peaks await. The crisp mountain air and wildflower-strewn valleys are made for two — every bend in the trail a moment to share something new.

    Beaches

Spend sun-drenched hours drifting between two twin postcards: Palombaggia’s snow-white sand backed by umbrella pines, and Tamaricciu’s iconic grey boulders rising from turquoise shallows. Rent a kayak to explore hidden coves, then toast your solitude with a picnic of local charcuterie as the Mediterranean sun dips low.

    Escape To Cavallo Island

For true seclusion, charter a boat to Cavallo, where only 200 guests may linger at a time. Arrive by tender to your villa on this private islet (golf-cart transfers only) and spend your day exploring hidden coves. Then, unwind at Hotel Les Pêcheurs’s fine-dining restaurant perched on a rocky bluff. With only the whisper of waves and the scent of marquis for company, it’s pure romantic immersion.

    Where to shop:

By day, dressing here is all about natural fabrics, flowing silhouettes, and sun-kissed skin, perfect for strolling medieval towns or lounging by turquoise coves. By night, island glamour takes over with bold prints, sculptural swimwear, and easy elegance that transitions seamlessly from beach to bistro.

    Benoa Creations

This Porto-Vecchio atelier bursts with fearless colour. You’ll find cotton kaftans and linen dresses in a bold print to help you stand out on the beach or at dinner.

    Maison Calarena

Born of Corsican craftsmanship, Calarena’s sleek swimwear and resortwear merge reversible cuts with signature modularity.

    Karma Koma

Inspired by Bali and Corsica, Karma Koma creates cool jumpsuits and split-hem maxi dresses in billowing silks. Each piece moves with you as you stroll through the city or dance under the stars.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
