    Luxurious Indian Suites Across India

Nizam Suite, Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad

One of the most loved Indian Taj properties, this had to be on our list. The Taj Falaknuma Palace is laid out in the shape of a scorpion and has features symbolic of Italian and Tudor architectural elements. Experience royalty here with handcrafted silver trays, bespoke furniture telling stories of the past, a huge elephant tusk, customised attar among many other offerings. The best doesn’t end here: there is an exclusive access to the swimming pool and spa as well.

Sukh Niwas and Suryavanshi Suites at Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

India Royal Tented Suite, Serai by Suján, Rajasthan

Serai by Sujan spans over 100 acres and is a luxe-tented camp in the Thar Desert. The tent comes with a private heated plunge pool, a massage area and designated areas to dine and lounge in. Of course, a butler is included, but what we love is that it is ever so slightly away from the wild and unlike other camps doesn’t have a rustic-chic aesthetic. The tents here have a minimalist approach, featuring monochromatic colour schemes which is soothing to the eyes.

    Maharani Suite Umaid Bhawan, Jodhpur

If you relish art deco, relax in the lap of royalty at the Maharani suite at the Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur. This is also where Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot. Some of the previous occupants of this suite are Prince Charles, Dalai Lama, and Shakira among others. Spanning across a plush 4,850 square ft., the suite is where you’ll find an en-suite yoga and massage room and a private Jacuzzi too! However, the bathroom steals the show—designed by Stefan Norblin, it is carved out of a single piece of pink Italian marble.

Muraka Suite, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Maldives

While you rest and unwind, watch many a manta rays, whales, and sharks swim or catch prey. The Muraka is a private holiday villa at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort. The villa was designed by local architect Ahmed Saleem and comprises a slender top-storey above water that houses the kitchen, living and dining area. Additionally there is a bedroom suite submerged in the water and encased in seven-inch walls. Here the guests arrive at the villa via a private seaplane. Alongside a wooden jetty that leads into the top floor, there is a spiral staircase that features windows to the sea en route. There is also an elevator which descends down to the 100-square-metre suite underwater.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
