They say home is where the heart is and that is every bit true! It’s more than brick, mortar and cement and has all of your dreams, desires and loves, too. Ask any couple who is building their dream space together on how overwhelming that can be. The journey from narrowing down an aesthetic of the place to putting on the last piece of accent is long and takes a lot out of you. Should you go with sage? Or pastel pink and peach? Will ivory work? To help you through these choices, we‘ve put together top decor trends of the season, so take note.
Cloud Dancer (or white) might be the Pantone Colour of The Year in 2026, but the world of decor is embracing colour this year. From deep ruby red and emerald green to bright sapphire yellow and tanzanite blue, decor is borrowing from the vibrant, saturated colours of the gemstones this season. White, beige, and grey are officially out, so add some richness to your home with jewel tones this season.

If you, like most people, tend to invest in solid rugs, cushions, and couches, you might want to look at some prints and patterns this season. A nice pattern lends a rich, luxurious vibe to the room. And while solids might be considered classic, they sometimes lack character. So have fun with different kinds of patterns this season—florals, animal prints, stripes, polka dots, chinoiserie, plaid, houndstooth…go all out!

This season is all about soft furnishings. And particularly about adorning your beds and couches with too many, impractical cushions. We’re leaning into the ultra-luxurious, cosy, snuggly vibe with lots and lots of cushions—to a point that it might even be an inconvenience, taking up half of the seating space!

Filling your living room with lots of little frames with family pictures is great, but this season, you might want to add one huge artwork in your living room. Something that covers more or less the entire wall. It could be something earthy like Pichhwai, or something contemporary like a work of modern art, but it should be one artwork that serves as the focal point of the room.
