From grand banquet halls in luxury hotels to verdant farmhouses that can accommodate thousands, Delhi has no dearth of wedding venues. But as it turns out, a new premium destination has been added to the roster that’s all set to redefine how the city hosts events.

Have you heard of The Zora?

The Zora-Delhi Convention Center is a newly unveiled premium event destination that can host conventions, elite gatherings and, of course, any Big Fat Indian Wedding. It has been designed by Lebanese architect and owner of Baz Events, Walid Baz, and spans 200,000 square feet, making it one of the largest wedding venues in the country.

“The Zora is more than just a venue. It's a canvas where every event becomes an extraordinary expression of personal luxury. We've created a space where clients can tailor their dream celebrations with an unmatched level of customisation,” says Walid Baz.

The venue boasts of cutting-edge architecture, lavish interiors inspired by India’s flora and fauna and world-class acoustics. It features grand halls with soaring 45-foot ceilings for those who prefer pre-designed halls. It also offers beautifully designed open spaces for fully customisable set-ups.

“We are not just offering a venue but a destination for one-of-a-kind, unforgettable moments. We aim to provide an immersive experience where every client's vision is brought to life with spectacular attention to detail. The Zora will set a new benchmark for bespoke, luxury celebrations in North India,” says Dhananjay Kumar, CEO, of The Zora - Delhi Convention Center.

The best part, however, is its location. The Zora is located in the heart of the capital on Lodhi Road, near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

“It's in the middle of Delhi, so it’s a very unique space in that way because everything else is otherwise in the outskirts of Delhi, near Gurgaon or Noida or Chattarpur. So the location is honestly one of its biggest winning key points because it's right in the middle of the Lutyens and you have your best hotels around,” says Shweta Acharya, founder of Baraati Inc.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
