There’s an old-world charm about Vedang Raina that makes you look twice—the kind that doesn’t try too hard but still leaves an impression. He walks into a room with the easy confidence of someone comfortable in his skin, not because he’s trying to prove anything, but because he doesn’t need to. As he navigates the world of films, Vedang embodies a certain sophisticated grace—a blend of old-school elegance and a refreshingly contemporary spirit. Dapper in a sharply tailored suit, a knowing smile playing on his lips, and a quiet charisma that feels cinematic—Vedang is every bit the modern-day gentleman we imagine at the heart of a wedding celebration. As Manifest’s digital coverstar, Vedang steps into the role of the ultimate groomsman. One who brings just the right mix of style, soul, and subtle swagger.

Between shots, he chats with Manifest about fashion, film, love, and why balance—not bravado—is what he is chasing.

Vedang doesn’t believe in boxing himself, be it for his roles on screen or his wardrobe. “Style, for me, is about expression more than rules,” he shares. “I wouldn’t say I stick to one thing; it depends on the occasion. But I ensure that whatever I wear speaks to me and says something about who I am. Lately, I’ve been enjoying experimenting a little, trying out new silhouettes, and navigating what truly reflects my energy.”

Vedang is also deeply drawn to icons who’ve redefined fashion in their own right. “Harry Styles, Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler… all of them bring something personal to the table, and I love that. They don’t just wear clothes; they own them,” he tells us. So, what’s his go-to look when he’s heading out for a special evening? “You can never go wrong with a classic, formal shirt and well-tailored pants,” he shares. “Boots or loafers, depending on the vibe. I may not follow trends, but great tailoring…that, to me, is timeless.” And if there’s one style tip he’d give to grooms or wedding guests gearing up for the big day? “Confidence is the best accessory. Whether you’re being flamboyant, cheeky, or just keeping it cool—own your vibe. That’s what people remember.” Amidst all the newness in his wardrobe, the one piece that has stayed is a jacket gifted by his uncle, full of sentiment and years of wear. “I’ve had it for the longest time, and I know it’s going to be with me for many more years.

In conversation, Vedang shifts easily from style to substance. His passion for acting is as deeply rooted as his love for football or music. “I don’t want to be typecast,” he says. “Every genre, every character offers a chance to grow. That’s what excites me. Discovering new sides of myself through the roles I take on.” He speaks candidly about Jigra [2024], one of his most emotionally intense films. “It challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. Some scenes left me numb, and it took me a few days to return to my normal self after the shoot. But that’s part of the process, and it’s what makes it worth it.” Up next is a project that has him buzzing…a film with Imtiaz Ali. “It’s not just a love story,” he shares, “The film is about identity, emotion, and belonging. It feels big. And I’m more motivated than ever to push myself as an actor. There’s a responsibility in playing a role that resonates, and I want to give it everything.”

When asked about the different aspects of fame he has had to tackle ever since his debut, Vedang pauses. “It’s unpredictable,” he admits. “You never really know when it shows up or slips away. I’ve just learned to stay grounded, keep working, and stay connected to my audience. That’s what matters.”

Naturally, the conversation turns to love. We ask Vedang what love means to him...“It might sound simple,” he says, “but I think the best kind of love is where you feel most at home. A classic sit-down dinner where you can be your unfiltered self, that’s my kind of first date. It’s about being with someone where there’s no performance, no fear of being judged. Just ease.” And in a world moving at warp speed, what’s the secret to lasting love? “Undying trust and patience,” he says thoughtfully. “Life can be chaos, but if you have someone who brings calm to that chaos, that’s everything.”

Some of the simple, everyday things Vedang finds immense joy in include “Watching football, humming by myself, and playing PS5”. He adds, “And carving out time for the things that keep me grounded. Whether it’s spending time with my loved ones, making music, or just sitting with myself, I think balance is essential.”

While it is easy for people to assume they know everything about someone once they’re in the spotlight, Vedang leaves room for surprises. “Not many people know this, but I scored well in the 12th board exams. I wanted to study MBA and work in business management before life took a completely different turn!”

Since manifesting is an idea central to our being, we ask Vedang whether he also believes in the concept. “Absolutely,” he nods. “Manifestation keeps me focused. It’s like leaving breadcrumbs for the future you want to walk into.”

As the shoot wraps and he slips out of his final look—a velvet pantsuit that fits like a dream— Vedang reflects on what’s ahead. “I’m looking forward to being back on set. This next project is different—it’s very layered. And I can’t wait to bring that story to life.”

Stylish, self-aware, and quietly magnetic, Vedang may be playing the perfect groomsman on our cover, but off-camera, he is scripting a journey that’s entirely his own—one that’s defined by intention, balance, and an unmistakable sense of self.
