Why Does The Internet Think Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Are Married?

If there’s one question that has been plaguing the Swiftverse for months, it’s whether or not Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married (or at least engaged). Thanks to a recent revelation by NFL player Cole Kmet and his wife Emily Jarosz’s wedding planner, the rumour mill is abuzz and how.

The Chicago Bears’ player got married to his fiancée Emily recently, and many of his fellow American football players were in attendance. Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were also supposed to be present, but the couple had to skip this wedding to attend Travis’ cousin’s wedding in Tennessee.

Cole and Emily’s wedding planner, Ellie Nottoli, took to Instagram to share all the personalised details from the ceremony, including the handwritten notes by the bride for all the guests. These love notes were kept inside envelopes adorned with the guests’ names in exquisite calligraphy. What caught everyone’s attention was that the envelope for Taylor and Travis was addressed as ‘Taylor and Travis Kelce’, strongly hinting that the two are now married and share the same last name. (It was also worth noting that the couple was assigned to Table No. 13, a number that’s super special to Swifties and lucky for the popstar)

The revelation proved to be divisive for Swifites online, as one camp went into investigative mode to uncover the couple’s marital status. The other team wasn’t so easily convinced, as many pointed out that writing an unmarried couple’s name this way is a common practice for formal events, like a wedding. 

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Wedding Rumours

This is not the first time the couple has been rumoured to be married or engaged. Earlier in January, Taylor Swift was spotted at one of Travis’ games wearing a diamond infinity ring. Since the ring traditionally symbolises pre-engagement, many took to assuming that the popstar is ready to tie the knot with the athlete. More recently, an anonymous source close to the couple told The Daily Mail that the couple are discussing marriage plans and Travis is waiting for the football season to get over before popping the question.

Neither Taylor nor Travis has confirmed the rumours.
