Anshula Kapoor Marries Rohan Thakkar in an Intimate Wedding, Shares Dreamy First Photos

The entertainment industry has absolutely entered wedding celebration season. After Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt a day ago, producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Anshula Kapoor got married to her longtime partner, Rohan Thakkar. The couple tied the knot on July 6 in a private ceremony at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End, surrounded by close family members and close friends.

A few hours after the wedding, Anshula took to Instagram to share the first pictures from the ceremony. Along with the dreamy wedding album, she wrote a heartfelt note for her husband.

“06.07.2026. Of all the people. Of all the places. Of all the timing. It was you. And somehow, through every twist, detour, and surprise, it is still you. My favourite conversation. My safest place. My easiest choice.”

Soon after Anshula shared her wedding post, Arjun Kapoor penned an emotional message for his sister. He wrote, “To my Ansh, You will always be mine but now I have to let you go… Today you start your new journey with Rohan and my heart, mind and soul are so so happy seeing you smile. I have seen you grow up and become this wonderful woman who represents our Mom every step of the way, don’t you ever worry cause she is watching over you and blessing you all the time… I’m always here, always got your back and always making sure the smile never leaves. Love you, Your Arjun Bhaiya”.

The Kapoor sisters - Janhvi and Khushi - also shared beautiful moments from the wedding. They stood by Anshula throughout the ceremonies, helping Rohan apply sindoor as part of the ritual. Janhvi was also seen holding the couple’s wedding rings, while Khushi lovingly adjusted Anshula’s maang tikka before the sindoor ceremony, taking on their bridesmaid duties with excitement.

Khushi Kapoor celebrated the newlyweds by sharing family moments from the wedding on social media with the caption, “And then they were married and lived happily ever afterrrrrrr.”

Anshula was a radiant bride in a coral and gold bridal lehenga paired with emerald and kundan jewellery, while Rohan wore an ivory and gold sherwani with a matching turban. One of the standout details from her look were her personalised kaleeras, that added personal touch to her ensemble.

A Moment That Won Hearts

One moment from the wedding that touched many hearts was a framed photograph of Anshula’s late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, placed beside the mandap during the rituals. 

Videos from inside the wedding, shared by IANS, showed Anshula and Rohan taking the traditional pheras surrounded by their loved ones. After completing the wedding rituals, the couple also officially registered their marriage. Another clip showed veteran actor Anil Kapoor interacting with guests during the celebrations.

Anshula and Rohan’s wedding festivities had commenced a week earlier. On June 21, Rohan’s family hosted a Mata Ki Chowki, followed by several pre-wedding functions, including a surprise mehendi celebration organised by Janhvi and Khushi. Anshula also shared glimpses from her kaleere and chooda ceremonies on social media in the days leading up to the wedding.

Before the wedding, proud father Boney Kapoor gave fans a peek into the celebrations by sharing pictures from Anshula’s mehendi ceremony. Alongside the photos, he wrote, “New journey begins for my genius pretty daughter Anshula with Rohan, who are made for each other, will surely make this journey happy eternally.”

Anshula and Rohan’s love story began on a dating app in 2022. After dating for around three years, Rohan proposed to her during a romantic trip to New York’s Central Park in July 2025. The couple celebrated their engagement with family and friends in Mumbai in October last year before finally tying the knot on July 6.
