It is official. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, has gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of prominent businessman Ravi Ghai. While there has been no confirmation from either of the families, it is reported that the engagement was an understated affair with a private celebration, attended by their closest friends and family.
The 25-year-old left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder has now carved his place in the cricket field and on the pitch. Playing for Goa in domestic cricket and recently turning out for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, Arjun had begun his sports career with Mumbai’s junior squads. He had made his domestic debut in the 2020-21 T20 season and had later switched to Goa for his first-class and List A debuts.
As the seasons passed, he honed his skills and has now picked up impressive stats. In red-ball cricket, he has played 17 matches and scored 532 runs. His stats include one century and two fifties with 37 wickets-one five-wicket haul, and two four-wicket hauls. In Goa’s List A Cricket, he played 17 matches and scored 76 runs in nine innings, and in the IPL, he represented the Mumbai Indians across five matches with best figures of 1/9. With his soaring scoring in every game, Arjun has kept his fans hooked to his game.
