Atlee and Priya Welcome Baby Girl, Announce Arrival With Adorable Post

It’s raining good news for fans and everybody in the industry. After Deepika announced her second pregnancy yesterday, we have director Atlee and his wife Priya today, who have once again become new parents. The couple announced on Monday that they had welcomed their second child, a baby girl.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the ace director shared the news with a sweet post featuring a sketch of his son, Meer, sitting in a toy car. The image had the words, "Big Brother Meer. Yay! I've got a baby sister! (sic)." Sharing the news with their fans and well-wishers, Atlee wrote, "We, Priya & Atlee, are blessed with a baby girl (sic)." with the date stamp April 20, 2026. The filmmaker captioned the post, "Feeling blessed (sic)," with a series of heart emojis.

The post quickly garnered widespread attention as fans and their friends in the industry dropped their heartiest congratulations in the comments. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kajal Aggarwal, Rashmika Mandanna, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ananya Panday, and Huma Qureshi were some of the big names who left their warm wishes for the newborn and the couple. While Priyanka wrote, “OMGeeee! Congratulations 😍,” Rashmika left a series of emojis on the post. The fans also left their heartiest congratulations and expressed their excitement at the news.

Previously, the couple had taken to their social media handles on September 20 to announce Priya’s pregnancy with a series of images from her maternity shoot. The caption for the post read, "Our home is about to get even cosier with the addition of our newest member! Yes! We are pregnant again. Need all your blessings, love, and prayers. With love, Atlee, Priya, Meer, Becky, Yuki, Chocki, Coffee, and Goofy."

The couple had tied the knot on November 9, 2014, after dating for several years and had welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in the year 2023.
