While we thought the wedding season was taking a little pause, The Vampire Diaries star Candice King told us that there was still more to the wedding season as she tied the knot with The Originals actor Steven Krueger in an intimate ceremony. While they had exchanged vows on February 28, 2026, the couple shared the pictures from their private celebration very recently.
The couple had taken to their Instagram handle on April 4 to share a series of glimpses from their intimate wedding celebrations in Nashville. Held in a dreamy setting, Candice and Steven's wedding had taken place at The Chapel at High Point Farm and had followed Catholic traditions. The intimate affair was attended by only 15 guests, including Candice’s two daughters and the actor’s nieces. According to reports, the wedding was described as an “elopement-style" celebration, held ahead of the couple welcoming their first child together.
Photos from the ceremony featured the TVD actress dressed in a milky white gown as she posed with her baby bump. Her beautiful veil, natural makeup, and soft waves in her hair made her bridal outfit look like one straight out of a fairy tale. Steven had opted for a sharp black tux that fitted him perfectly. In a few pictures, Candice's daughters can be seen posing as the actress’s bridesmaids, while another picture shows the couple sharing a kiss after the ceremony.
The couple, who are set to welcome their baby boy in May 2026, first met at a reunion party where their friendship blossomed and eventually grew deeper and evolved into a rather beautiful relationship. What is interesting is that the two had worked for the same franchise long before they actually spoke to each other, since Candice was the lead of ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ while Steven played a significant role in its spin-off, ‘The Originals.’ However, the two never met on the sets.
