Wedding bells might be in the offing for football star Cristiano Ronaldo and girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez. The model recently took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her left hand, accompanied by the caption “And keep evil away from us, Amen” in Arabic. What caught everyone’s attention was the gigantic rock on her ring finger.
The emerald cut centre stone of the ring is supposed to be between 10-15 carats. It looks like it was set in platinum with tapered baguettes. Emily Strauss, founder of L.A.-based fine jewellery brand EF Collection, told Brides that the ring looked to be well over $1 million. While she didn’t confirm whether it was just a diamond ring or a diamond ring, the type of diamond, size, and the placement sure hinted at it being the latter.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been dating Georgina Rodríguez since 2016, and the couple has previously discussed the possibility of getting married. On her Netflix show, I Am Georgina, the model opened up about how her friends kept bringing up the topic.
“They're always joking about the wedding,” she said. “‘When is the wedding?’ Since Jennifer Lopez's song ‘The Ring Or When’ came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me.”
The football player also shared his thoughts on the subject, saying, “I always tell her, ‘when we get that click’. Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about.” He also added that the day might not be that far. “It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I'm 1000 (percent) sure that it'll happen.”
In the same show, Cristiano Ronaldo also shared what it was like when they started dating. “(I) didn't think at the beginning that (the relationship) would be this strong. That I would fall in love with her. I didn't expect it honestly. But after a while I felt that she was the woman of my life.”
Georgina Rodríguez, too, believes she’s found The One with him. “(I'm) the girlfriend of the most followed man. Cristiano is great, he's a very normal guy. I dreamed of having a Prince Charming by my side and now I have him.”
