"Design Always Starts And Ends With Love", Says Isha Jajodia of Roseroom Couture

This time too Roseroom by Isha J is bringing back its signature blend of elegance and modern romance to the 3r edition of FDCI Manifest Wedding Weekend. Known for reimagining traditional bridalwear, Isha’s design language is rooted in emotion. She draws inspiration from nature, craft, and the many shades of femininity—strength, resilience, grace. 

Her pieces are sculptural yet soft, blending classic techniques with contemporary form. Think corsets, hoop skirts, veils, lehengas with pockets and much more.  

Today, what sets Roseroom apart is the brand's catering to the changing mood of bridal fashion. Brides today want to feel like themselves on their wedding day—they’re choosing outfits that reflect personality as much as tradition. Isha embraces that shift by creating ensembles that carry both history and individuality.

Ahead of the upcoming FDCI Manifest Wedding Weekend [FMWW], Manifest catches up with Isha on what inspires her, what brides must look forward to this season, and more.. 

In conversation with Roseroom's Isha Jajodia 

Manifest: What inspires you to create every day? 
Isha Jajodia: “It always begins and ends with love—love for nature, love for beauty. Through my design sensibility, I try to reflect the different virtues of a woman’s strength, wisdom, resilience, and courage. That truly drives me to create... The power of storytelling through craft is something I hold very close to my heart. So yes, I’m constantly inspired to create something magical for each new collection.” 

M: What is your favourite part about Indian weddings? 
IJ: “My favourite part is the emotion behind it all. At its core, it’s about love—between families, between generations, and of course, between two people starting something new and sacred. It feels truly special to be a part of that journey.” 

M: How has your approach to bridal couture evolved over the years? 
IJ: “Today’s brides choose pieces that reflect their personality, not just tradition—and that’s shaped my design sensibility. The modern bride is well-travelled, educated, elegant, and timeless. My focus is on creating fashion-forward yet sculpted and enduring looks. You’ll see corsets, hoop skirts, lehengas with pockets, lace, veils, head veils, bustles—elements that are contemporary yet rooted in timeless elegance. For instance, instead of a classic lehenga, the modern bride might opt for an off-shoulder structured corset paired with a layered tulle skirt. It’s all about individuality. Watching these women express themselves through fashion inspires every look I create.”

M: If you had to choose between one, which would it be—pastels or lace? 
IJ: “Honestly, lace and pastels are a perfect marriage. But if I had to choose, it would be lace. It’s soft, romantic, and incredibly special. Lace carries with it emotion, history, delicacy, and so much beauty. I’m truly obsessed with it!”
