Singer-songwriter Prakriti Kakar had an intimate wedding with Vijay Anand in Rajasthan. And her wedding trousseau looked nothing less than a dream. She consciously picked ensembles that resonated with her vibe and looked beguiling in each and every look. Here's rounding up everything she wore on her D-day.

    Abhinav Mishra for Mehendi

She bedazzled in a mirror-work light-weight lehenga with a sleeveless choli and a dupatta styled like a cape. Kakar finished off her look with multi-coloured neckpiece and earrings and went for side-parted waves.

    Haldi look

Kakar designed her Haldi look herself. She opted for a yellow georgette sari with a crop top and accessorised it with a pair of chain earrings. She looked pretty as a picture. The floral gajras were a nod to her husband's South Indian roots.

    Falguni Shane Peacock for wedding

Prakriti had an Arya Samaj wedding ceremony for which she wore a pink lehenga by Falguni Shane Peacock. She paired the look with elaborate jewels from Rambajo Jewellers. The pink tone of her lehenga matched with her bangles and added to her look.

She opted for a red corset and skirt by Jayesh and Kajal Shah for her wedding reception in Mumbai. The corset and skirt were embellished with glass beads and the layered emerald neckpiece added to her look.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
