Influencer and star kid Aaliyah Kashyap tied the knot with fiancé Shane Gregoire in a beautiful ceremony, surrounded by family and friends.
The couple shared photos from the wedding ceremony on Instagram, with the caption “now and forever (sic)”. Aaliyah looked resplendent in her pink Tarun Tahiliani lehenga with floral detailing, while Shane complemented her look in his ivory sherwani.
In the photos and videos shared on social media, we can spot the moment Shane saw Aaliyah in her bridal finery for the first time (AKA the ‘look of love’!) and Aaliyah’s bridesmaids accompanying her for the bridal entry, holding a phoolon ki chadar over her head.
In attendance were the bride and groom’s friends and family, including some familiar faces from the film industry. Aaliyah’s bridesmaid squad featured Khushi Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali’s daughter Ida Ali.
The wedding was followed by a star-studded reception, where the bride ditched the soft glamour of her pink bridal outfit and opted for a metallic corset paired with a draped black skirt.
The reception saw celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Boby Deol, Kalki Koechlin, and Orry (to name a few!) on the guest list. Newlyweds Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya also made their first appearance after their wedding at the reception.
Aaliyah and Shane went the Big Fat Indian Wedding way, complete with all the pre-wedding ceremonies. The bride and groom chose matching green Anita Dongre ensembles for the sangeet and coordinated a black and red look for the cocktail night, with Aaliyah opting for a red sequinned Arpita Mehta pre-draped sari.
The mehndi ceremony saw the bride opting for one of the most popular henna trends of the season by getting portraits of her pets Cosmo and Kai rendered in mehndi on her hands.
The couple got engaged in May 2023 when Shane proposed to Aaliyah in Bali. They later threw an intimate party for their friends and family in August 2023.
