Huma Abedin, former aide to Hillary Clinton, got married to Alex Soros, the billionaire son of George Soros, in a star-studded ceremony in the Hamptons.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the groom’s family’s sprawling Southampton estate. The bride and groom planned a ceremony for their close friends and family, followed by a larger celebration with drinks and dancing. American pop group Boyz II Men performed for the guests at the wedding.
The Muslim bride and Jewish groom chose to honour each of their faiths at the wedding by performing a nikah as well as signing the Ketubah at the ceremony.
The bride wore two custom wedding dresses for the occasion, including an off-shoulder silk gown by Givenchy and a vintage-style gown with lace sleeves by Erdem.
Being a certified power couple, Huma Abedin and Alex Soros’ wedding guest list was equally power-packed. The list included names like the Clintons (Bill, Hillary and Chelsea), Barack and Michelle Obama, Anna Wintour, Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff, Chuck Schumer, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Nancy Pelosi and Jimmy Fallon (to name a few!). Several high-ranking European politicians were also present for the wedding.
The couple, reportedly, met in 2023 at a mutual friend’s birthday and began dating soon after. They made their relationship red carpet official at the 2024 Met Gala.
Alex popped the question to Huma at their New York home and later celebrated their engagement in Italy.
