Inside Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso’s Dreamy Proposal

The wedding bells are ringing for Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso as the actress announced her engagement to musician and actor Rudy Mancuso. The couple shared the news with their fans on Sunday through a joint post on their Instagram handles. 

The post featured a series of photos from the proposal, and Camila had captioned it, “Engaged to my best Friend.” One photo from the bunch captured Rudy on one knee, holding out a ring to Camila while the room was filled with white flowers. The next photo of the post featured the duo sharing a hug.

The post was quick to garner attention as several celebrities congratulated the couple in the comment section, including Camila’s Riverdale Co-star Vanessa Morgan, who wrote, "Omg. Stunning. So happy for you!!!!"Actor Lili Reinhart also wrote, "Love you so much, my Cami. Congratulations to you both (sic)."

The other celebrities included The Flash actor Grant Gustin, Rudy's frequent collaborators Lele Pons and Juanpa Zurita, "13 Reasons Why" stars Katherine Langford and Alisha Boe as well as other stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Zegler, were also some other names that shared congratulatory messages for the couple on the post

The couple had first met in 2022 on the set of Rudy’s directorial film, Musica, and had later started dating. But it was not until Valentine’s Day 2023 that they made their relationship official over Instagram. Camila had shared the news through another post back then, and had captioned it, “Meu valentine. te amo so much.”

A representative for Camila Mendes had previously confirmed the news of the couple’s engagement, stating that it had taken place on October 24 in what seemed to be an intimate affair. "She thought she was going to a birthday party for producing partner Rachel Matthews, but it was a surprise engagement party instead. Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends," a source said, according to People.

With a proposal that seemed straight out of a Disney fairytale, their love story has now taken its first step into the next phase of their life.
