American musician Finneas O’Connell is now engaged to his longtime love, Claudia Sulewski. The 28-year-old YouTuber turned actor and singer-producer proposed to his girlfriend after seven years of dating.
Officially announced on September 24, the couple revealed that they had engaged on September 22 through an Instagram post that read, "forever and ever 9.22."
The post captured the couple’s sunset proposal in several pictures, along with a video where the two can be seen heading to the site of the proposal in a helicopter. Claudia was quick to share snaps of her new cushion-cut diamond engagement ring after the proposal.
Love In The First Meeting
The Grammy-winning musician had first met Claudia on a dating app in 2018, and they were in a relationship soon after. In 2019, Finneas revealed to Buzzfeed that he had written the song “Claudia” only hours after meeting his now-fiancée and had sent her parts of the song the same night.
The couple has collaborated on several projects since they started dating, with Claudia serving as a muse for many of Finneas’ songs, including “Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa” in 2022. Claudia had also directed and starred in Mona Lisa’s phone-recorded music video
The two had celebrated their fourth anniversary in September 2022 with Finneas sharing a sweet Instagram post captioned, “you'd have to scour the globe to try to find someone equally as talented, creative and hard working as you are, my love. Then you'd have to do it a second time to try to find someone as kind, thoughtful and generous. A third time to find someone as funny, a fourth to find someone as loving, a fifth to find someone as beautiful. How you manage to be every one of these things all at once will forever be the impossibility of you. Happy anniversary, Baby, I love the hell out of you."
Then, on their fifth anniversary in 2023, the singer-producer shared a photo of Claudia riding a motorcycle and captioned it, “Happy anniversary to my absolute dream girl!!! Best 5 years of my life!!!” The influencer was quick to reciprocate as she shared a series of photos of the couple with a caption, "half a decade with the love of my life. Lucky us.”
The couple has celebrated several milestones together, including buying a house, and has also made several public appearances on the red carpet, from the Grammys to Barbie's pink carpet.
