Wedding bells rang for Korean Actress Kim Ok-vin as she married her fiance on the 16th of November. Joining the November brides, she and her husband got married in a quiet ceremony that was held privately with only their close friends and family in attendance.

The wedding was an intimate affair due to the consideration for the non-celebrity groom and his family. The actress’s agency revealed that the same was the reason why specific details about the ceremony, like the venue and time, could not be disclosed to the fans and well-wishers online.

However, as the speculations grew around her husband and the wedding, it was reported that the ceremony was held at The Shilla Seoul’s premium wedding venue, where several celebrities have also gotten married previously, including actress Jun Ji-hyun and figure skating queen Kim Yu-na.

The actress had been vocal about her forthcoming wedding, as she posted her wedding shoot five days before the ceremony. On November 10, she had shared the images from the shoot, where she looked ethereal in a pure white gown; however, on November 12, she shared a short video that featured her in the same white gown that later transitioned to a wedding ensemble with a veil covering her face as soft music played in the background. The video ended with the words, “Fated light.” Kim Ok-vin had put a ring in the caption of the post.

Additionally, a day before her wedding, the actress had taken to her Instagram handle to greet her fans. Her post that featured two photos of her in a bridal gown with a veil on her head was captioned, “I was shy and considered skipping this, but I felt it was only right to express my gratitude to those who have supported me for 20 years. My fiancé is someone who always makes me smile when he’s around—a kind and considerate person,” showcasing her affection. She shared, “We will cherish and nurture our time together. We kindly ask for your warm support and attention.”

As the actress began her new journey, the agency that represents her also made a statement, “We kindly request many blessings for Kim Ok-vin as she begins a new chapter in her life. We will continue to greet you with the same outstanding performances.”

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
