Inside Millie Bobby Brown And Jake Bongiovi’s Dreamy Italian Nuptials
The intimate ceremony had MBB in four stunning designer dresses and a heartwarming detail for ‘Stranger Things’ fans…
After an intimate wedding ceremony, Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi have finally shared a glimpse of what went down in Italy with their fans on Instagram. The couple tied the knot back in May and have posted photos from the celebrations at Villa Cetinale in Italy, featuring moments from their reception, the main ceremony and Millie Bobby Brown’s four gorgeous designer dresses.
The couple exchanged vows under a floral arch with Millie’s Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine officiating the wedding.
For the main ceremony, the bride wore a custom Galia Lahav gown with floral straps and a Basque waist. The groom opted for an ivory Tom Ford tux.
For the pre-wedding celebrations, Millie went with a 1997 Valentino dress featuring a bow-accented bustier and a voluminous tiered skirt, while Jake went with a black Banana Republic tux.
The reception saw the bride changing into two stunning dresses. For the cake-cutting ceremony, Millie went with an Oscar de la Renta halter neck gown. Later, for the party, she chose a corsetted Vivienne Westwood mini to dance the night away.
The rumours of their relationship had begun back in June 2021, after Jake had shared a selfie with Millie on Instagram, with the caption “bff <3 (sic)”.
A few weeks later the two were spotted holding hands in New York City. In November of that year, Millie made their relationship Instagram official by posting a photo of them sharing a kiss while riding the London Eye. In an interview with The Sunday Times, the actress opened up about the moment she had realised Jake was The One. “After we met, we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side. You can’t pinpoint why (someone is 'the one'), it’s just the feeling of knowing that that’s the person you want to spend the rest of your time with.”
The couple got engaged in April 2023 after Jake proposed with one of Millie’s mother’s rings.
“I’ve always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake. They were in cahoots about the whole proposal,” she had revealed in The Sunday Times interview, “I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me.”
In an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Millie shared that Jake popped the question underwater while the two were scuba diving on vacation. “We go under, and we're many meters down. He gives me a shell and I turn it over and it’s a ring!”
The couple then got married in May 2024, soon after which Jake’s father Jon Bon Jovi confirmed the nuptials in an interview with BBC later that month. “They're great. They're absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be.” Now, the heartwarming photos from the Italian wedding ceremony can confirm this!
Here’s wishing Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi a lifetime of happiness!
