Pakistani TV actors Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed are tying the knot and the wedding festivities have finally begun with a dholki night.
A common Pakistani pre-wedding tradition, the dholki night has the bride and groom and their loved ones gather together to sing and dance while older ladies play the dholak. This marks the start of the wedding festivities. This usually takes place one or two weeks before the wedding.
For their dholki, the bride-to-be wore a floor-length floral kalidar by designer Farah Talib Aziz, while the groom-to-be went with a classic black kurta set paired with a deep green shawl embroidered with calligraphy.
Kubra and Gohar’s pre-wedding celebration was hosted by their close friend and actress Momal Shaikh at her house and it was a star-studded affair. In attendance were fellow actors like Shahzad Shaikh, Ali Rehman Khan, Kahaqan Shahnawaz, Aashir Wajahat, Ali Safina, Hira Tareen, Hasan Rizvi and Ushna Shah (to name a few!). While they haven’t confirmed a wedding date officially, reports claim that the two will get married on February 22 in Karachi.
Speculations about the actors’ relationship status began after the two collaborated on the 2023 drama Jannat Se Aage. While the two kept their fans on their toes with cryptic Instagram Stories and posts, they finally announced their engagement with an adorable reel.
In the video, friends of the couple can be seen wondering who is getting married soon, only for Kubra and Gohar to reveal that they’re getting married very soon.
