When it’s a Kennedy wedding set to take place, you can be sure it’s going to bring out the stars, and celebrities and political figures! This one was the stunning ceremony of Conor Kennedy—son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and grand-nephew of former United States President John F. Kennedy—and Brazilian singer-songwriter Giulia Be. The couple exchanged vows in Rio de Janeiro, a nod to the bride’s hometown.
Conor Kennedy and Giulia Be had tied the knot earlier in March at a private civil ceremony in Los Angeles. They chose to celebrate their big day with their circle of family and friends in Brazil in a gorgeous three-day event. It saw mega celebrations unfurl across the city’s iconic beaches and historic landmarks.
The wedding celebrations began on October 8, 2026, at Mansão do Alto, at a stunning venue tucked away in the forested hills of Rio de Janeiro’s Alto da Boa Vista neighborhood. The fun was whipped up at the welcome party by the well-known Rio samba school Unidos de Vila Isabel, who brought the energy of Carnival straight into the wedding function. Giulia chose to wear a custom lace grown by Spanish label YolanCris for it before changing into a party look by noted Brazilian designer PatBo.
The following day, the couple took their guests to Ipanema Beach for a game of beach volleyball, putting a Brazilian spin on the Kennedy family tradition of sporting competitions around weddings.
The day ensued with a blessing at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, beneath the towering Christ the Redeemer statue. With sweeping views of Rio as their backdrop, the intimate gathering offered a quieter moment amid all the festivities.
Vow and How!
On October 10, it was the time for the main ceremony. The couple exchanged vows at the historic Igreja Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé, a gilded church in Rio’s historic centre, with 200 guests in attendance. Reports mention that they exchanged personal vows alongside traditional ones.
Giulia Be was every bit the stunning bride in her Harris Reed custom lace, open-back wedding gown, while Conor Kennedy made for a dapper groom in a custom suit made by Vasco Vasconcellos. Bringing a touching moment to the occasion, Giulia walked down the aisle with her father to Nessun Dorma, the famous aria from Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot.
The wedding ceremony done, it was time for a lunch and followed by a fun-filled reception at Instituto Brando Barbosa, the historic mansion in Jardim Botânico. This saw samba dancers, an energetic dance floor as well as a tarot reader and a photo booth.
Connor and Guilia are said to have met in California in back 2022 and he proposed to her in August 2024 at their Los Angeles home, in an intimate candlelit setting accompanied by Elton John’s Your Song.
