Is Miley Cyrus Engaged? Fans Speculate After Diamond Ring’s Debut At Red Carpet
Miley Cyrus sparks engagement buzz as she sports a diamond ring and poses cosily with Maxx Morando
This wedding season is getting every bit as festive as former Disney popstar Miley Cyrus gets engaged to musician Maxx Morando after four years of dating.
The singer was seen flaunting a diamond ring on her finger at the Avatar: Fire And Ash premiere in Los Angeles on December 1, sending her fans into a frenzy. Speculations further surfaced when the actress-singer was seen cosying up to Maxx as the two walked the red carpet at Hollywood’s iconic Dolby theatre before heading in for the screening. While Miley has not officially made a statement on her engagement, she did share her thoughts on beginning this new chapter in her life while in conversation with People.
"The detail that I can share is that for us, our privacy and us kind of keeping it small has been something that I've been astounded that I've actually been able to have and being able to kind of have more choice. I think it's also being older, being more protective of what I'm open to sharing,” the Grammy-winning singer told People. She further connected her personal journey with the themes of the upcoming sequel of Avatar that features her song Dream as One Appears. She shared that the film was perfectly thematic with where she was in life presently, since it was about love, family, resilience and reconnection and the idea of being stronger together.
However, the ring had made its first public appearance a little before the premiere in mid-November, according to Deux Moi, when Miley had shared photos from her birthday dinner late in the month.
Miley and Maxx’s relationship had first made the headlines in December 2021 when they were clicked getting close backstage during Miley’s NBC holiday special, and her New Year’s Eve Party, in Miami. The singer had later revealed to British Vogue that the two had met on a blind date. She had said, "Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, 'The worst that can happen is I leave. I ended up with a person who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me."
