Punjabi singer Jasmine Sandlas gave fans more than just a concert to remember. During the opening night of her The Dream Girl India Tour in Delhi on Saturday, the Dhurandhar singer surprised everyone by announcing that she is engaged to Shekhar Chaudhary.

The special moment unfolded at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre when Jasmine invited Shekhar on stage in front of thousands of fans. Holding his hand and proudly showing off her engagement ring, she introduced him to the audience with an emotional announcement.

“This is the man who put a ring on it. This is my man, everybody!” the singer said before running into his arms for a warm hug.

The crowd erupted in cheers as the couple shared a sweet moment on stage. Jasmine’s hit song Laavan began playing, and the two danced together while fans watched and celebrated with them. Before stepping off the stage, Shekhar blew Jasmine a kiss, and the singer was later seen getting emotional as the audience continued cheering for her.

Videos from the ‘proposal reveal’ went viral on social media, with fans congratulating the singer on her new beginning. Many called the moment “dreamy” and said they were happy to see Jasmine so in love.

For the concert, Jasmine wore an embellished golden lehenga paired with statement jewellery, while Shekhar kept it simple in a black T-shirt and jeans.

The Delhi show marked the beginning of Jasmine’s The Dream Girl India Tour, where she performed several of her biggest hits. The setlist included fan favourites like Taras, Illegal Weapon, Laavan, Panjeba, Sip Sip and Yaar Na Miley. She also performed songs from the Dhurandhar franchise, including Shararat and Jaiye Sajana, which had the audience singing along.

After Delhi, Jasmine is scheduled to perform in Mumbai on July 18, Bengaluru on July 25 and Chandigarh on August 29.

Jasmine Sandlas’ Journey in Music

Born in Jalandhar, Punjab, and raised in Stockton, California, Jasmine Sandlas began her music career at a young age. She made her debut with the song Muskan in 2007 and later earned praise for independent albums such as Gulabi and What’s In A Name.

Her big Bollywood breakthrough came with Yaar Na Miley from Salman Khan’s Kick, where she collaborated with Yo Yo Honey Singh. Although the song became a massive hit, Jasmine has previously spoken about the difficult phase she was going through personally at the time.

“Yaar Naa Miley was the biggest hit at the time, and I lost my dad. My whole family fell apart. We could never find an anchor again. My father was a silent type, a good righteous man. He was the anchor. When he left, hum sab bikhar gaye. We are still trying to gather the pieces. It’s been more than ten years. I miss him. I want to celebrate success with him,” the singer said in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia.

In recent months, Jasmine has continued her successful run with songs like Taras from Munjya and Shararat and Jaiye Sajana from the Dhurandhar franchise.
