Fans were thrilled as he took to social media to share the first photos and videos from their big day, as “Mr and Mrs Boateng”.

The former Islander, who appeared on the 2020 winter season of the show, looked happier than ever as he celebrated with his new wife, and his friends, and family. Taking to his social media handle on Instagram, Mike posted a series of pictures from the ceremony that captured some of the sweetest moments from their celebration as well as their reception. He kept the caption on the post. It read, “Mr and Mrs Boateng,” along with a wedding ring and heart emoji.

For the occasion, Mike kept things classic as he was dressed in a white tuxedo jacket paired with a black bow tie, while his bride looked stunning in a beautiful wedding gown. The couple had previously gone public with their relationship earlier this year when they appeared together on the MOBO Awards red carpet in March.

The celebrations looked every bit as special as you’d expect. In one of the videos that surfaced from the ceremony, Mike can be seen dancing and laughing with his groomsmen and members of the bridal party inside a gorgeous town hall venue.

According to the other pictures and videos that came out later, the reception was just as memorable with one clip showing the newlyweds sharing their first dance surrounded by a cloud of white smoke covering the dance floor, creating a picture-perfect moment.

As soon as Mike shared the news, his fellow Love Island stars flooded the comments with messages of support. Biggs Chris dropped his wish for the couple in the comment section. He said, “Congratulations to you both guys.” Rachel Finni followed suit, joining in the celebrations, she commented, “Yessss.”

The wedding comes around six months after Mike proposed to his now wife during the Christmas holidays. His fiancée had later showed off her engagement ring online, giving fans a glimpse of the happy moment.

At the time, Mike shared photos from the proposal and included a Bible verse from Proverbs 16:3 in the caption. It read, “Commit to the lord whatever you do and he will establish your plans.”

The proposal itself appeared to be incredibly thoughtful, with Mike seemingly asking the big question on a dessert plate that read, “will you marry me?”

As the couple begin this new chapter in their lives together, we wish them a hearty congratulations.
