“My Six-Pack”: Samantha Ruth Prabhu Shares First Baby Bump Photo, Confirms Maternity Break After Maa Inti Bangaaram

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru are overjoyed at the moment as they prepare to embrace parenthood with their first child. In a recent update, the actress surprised her fans with a glimpse of her baby bump. On Tuesday, Samantha took to her Instagram to share a sweet picture, flaunting her baby bump. She captioned the post, “My six-pack. I’ll see you when I see you.”

This comes after the recent announcement of her pregnancy that was made during a thank-you meet for her latest release, Maa Inti Bangaaram, where Samantha confirmed that she would be taking a short break from work to focus on motherhood.

“Sorry guys, one more small gap and then I will be back. I know I have to take maternity leave now. But I am very happy,” she said while speaking publicly at the event.

Samantha also told the media, “After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small break, given my condition. I’ll have to take maternity leave. After that, I’ll be back with another film for my fans.”

Rumours about Samantha’s pregnancy had been doing the rounds online for several days before the official announcement. The speculation began after videos from the success celebrations of Maa Inti Bangaaram went viral, with many fans noticing what appeared to be a baby bump. During the event, Samantha wore a fitted white T-shirt with denim, which further fuelled the buzz.

Now that the actor has shared her baby bump photo herself, congratulatory messages have been pouring in from fans and members of the film industry.

For the unversed, Samantha and Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on 1 December 2025, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. The wedding took place at Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation’s Linga Bhairavi temple in Coimbatore and followed the ancient Bhuta Shuddhi tradition.

The couple first worked together on the hit web series The Family Man 2, which was co-created by Raj and his longtime collaborator DK (Krishna Dasarakothapalli). They later reunited professionally for Maa Inti Bangaaram. Rumours about their relationship had first surfaced when Samantha shared pictures from the World Pickleball League, where the two were seen together supporting the Chennai Super Champs.

This will be the first child for Samantha and Raj, and the second marriage for both. Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021, while Raj was earlier married to Shhyamali De.
