Stranger Things' Maya Hawke Ties the Knot with Christian Lee Hutson in an Intimate Ceremony

This Valentine’s Day became even more special for the Stranger Things fans as actor Maya Hawke tied the knot with singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson. The couple, reportedly, exchanged vows in a surprise Valentine’s Day wedding in Manhattan. The intimate ceremony was attended by the couple’s close friends and family and was quick to become one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of 2026.

If the reports are to be believed, the celebration that was hosted at St. George's Episcopal Church in New York City on Saturday was small and personal, with Maya’s parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman in attendance. The ceremony also had several of her Stranger Things co-stars present for her joyous moment, including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery.

Pictures and videos from the ceremony were quick to go viral on social media, where Maya could be seen wearing an elegant white wedding dress paired with an oversized, feathery winter coat for the ceremony, while Christian kept it classic. Maya’s mother, Uma Thurman, was seen wearing a light blue gown with matching shoes, while Ethan Hawke had opted for an all-black outfit. The ceremony was later followed by guests proceeding to The Players, a private members’ club in Manhattan, where the couple hosted their wedding reception.

The couple had reportedly been dating for four years after being friends for years and after several musical collaborations. Their creative partnership had gradually blossomed into a romantic relationship but the couple kept it private until they made their first red-carpet appearance in 2025 at the opening night of John Proctor is the Villain at the Booth Theater. The couple was later also seen attending the Prada FW25 runway show during Milan Fashion Week on February 27, sitting together in the front row. Hawke later posted a photograph of the two from the event, which drew attention from fans and media alike.

Prior to the wedding, Maya was seen flaunting a diamond ring in Manhattan that had fuelled speculation about her relationship status.
