Billionaire heiress Netra Mantena and tech entrepreneur Vamsi Gadiraju are hosting a multi-day wedding in Udaipur that has taken over social media since celebrations began on November 21. The wedding ceremony is set for November 23, and the scale, venue list and celebrity presence have turned it into one of the most talked-about events of the season.
Netra Mantena is the daughter of Orlando-based billionaire, CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals and the groom, Vamsi Gadiraju, is an NRI tech entrepreneur and co-founder of Superorder. The wedding is being staged across heritage venues such as The Leela Palace, Zenana Mahal and the Jagmandir Island Palace on Lake Pichola.
The sangeet on Friday night became the moment that pushed the wedding into global visibility. Reels circulating online show Ranveer Singh pulling Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson on stage for an impromptu hook-step lesson to What Jhumka to the same evening, Karan Johar co-hosted the function with Sophie Choudry and turned part of the event into a live Koffee-with-Karan-style segment with the bride and groom with rapid-fire rounds and spill-the-beans questions.
Some of the biggest Bollywood names have been part of the Udaipur wedding’s pre-wedding celebrations including Madhuri Dixit, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Kriti Sanon have been seen in Udaipur for the haldi and sangeet events and dance performances. Jennifer Lopez is expected to take the stage during the weekend, according to several reports, and there’s speculation around Justin Bieber to make an appearance.
