Punjabi celebrations, blessings, and moments of pure romance…

For Baldeep K Selhi and Anurag Selhi, love lives in the little things, from long dinners, movie nights, and cooking side by side. So when it came to their wedding in Boston, it wasn’t grandeur they were after, but intimacy, joy, and the comfort of feeling at home even in the midst of tradition.

Family and heritage shaped the backbone of the celebration. Baldeep’s deep connection to her Punjabi roots showed in the rituals that guided each event. They honoured the wedding traditions with rituals like jatherey matha tek before the mayiaan to the spirited barat.

But one of the most unforgettable moments for the couple came when Baldeep’s grandfather placed her hand into Anurag’s before she stepped onto the mandap. For the bride, it was a touching moment that carried generations of love, trust, and continuity of life.

For the couple, music is their common love language. It came naturally to them to inculcate that love together for the wedding. Baldeep chose softer strains of Punjabi music to hold her heart, and for Anurag, the playlists swung wide, from folk legends like Kuldeep Manak to early 2000s rap. There were moments that turned a wedding into a memory. From the way her cousins teased her during the mayiaan, the sound of Anurag’s friends erupting into song during the baraat.
When asked about their favourite moments, Anurag smiles at the memory of Baldeep walking down the aisle, while she treasures walking out together as husband and wife, wrapped in the joy of everyone they loved. Ombre’s photography brought a layered, timeless quality to Baldeep and Anurag’s wedding. While bright, candid images captured laughter, tears, and spontaneous dance, the black-and-white frames froze in contrast and light.
The wedding had every detail that was designed to capture the essence of who they are as a couple, joyful, emotional and surrounded by people who they love the most.
