Bridesmaid Style Inspiration Ft. Athiya Shetty

If you’re a minimal bridesmaid who likes to keep it easy and effortless (yet irresistibly stunning) take a cue from the actor’s recent looks

Anamika Khanna sari

For Akansha Ranjan’s pre-wedding festivities, Athiya chose to wear this stunning black sari from Anamika Khanna. The sari had a cut-work detail on the hem of the pallu, and intricate tone-on-tone embroidery. We’re loving how she kept the styling minimal with nothing but a pair of chandelier earrings for the jewellery. If you are someone who has a tall body type and a long neck, take a cue from Athiya Shetty and swap your studs with super long chandelier earrings. This look also offers a masterclass in balance—balancing the lack of jewellery with huge gemstone earrings, and balancing the otherwise-barely there make-up with a bold red lip.

Masaba kurta set

Making another case for chandelier earrings, Athiya wore this beautiful gold kurta set with bell sleeves from Masaba, with a pair of long multi-coloured earrings from A Jewels by Anmol. She styled it with a pair of embellished mules and a batua bag with tassels. She went for simple hair and make-up, with a sleek, middle-parted bun, thin eyeliner, barely-there blush, and a nude lip. Bridesmaids, this is a great look to take inspiration from for a low-key haldi or an intimate roka ceremony!

Manish Malhotra sari

If you love referencing rich Indian crafts and techniques through your outfits, you will love this Manish Malhotra look on Athiya. This sari brings together two different crafts—the pallu of the sari has bandhani all over it, amalgamated with the classic Ghatchola weave. The two crafts look stunning against the pastel colour palette of lilac and peach. The sari is paired with a gold embroidered blouse, a beautiful choker, a potli bag, and a tiny crystal bindi. She balanced out the statement choker with a pair of simple studs, and went for fresh rosey make-up and poker straight middle-parted hair. This look would work great for bridesmaids for a mehendi or haldi. It can even make for a great wedding guest look!

Rohit Bal anarkali

Only a few outfits look more ethereal than a flowy white anarkali. For Akansha Ranjan’s wedding, Athiya went for a dreamy white anarkali set from Rohit Bal. The outfit featured floral motifs, an empire waistline, a sheer dupatta, and an intricately embroidered bust. Making use of the broad plunging neckline, Athiya wore a massive necklace. The colour-galore necklace also added a pop of colour to the otherwise-monotone ivory look. A batua bag, dewy make-up, and sleek braid finished off this look.
