Hello, this is a PSA to not go crazy with your beauty choicesHailey Bieber/Instagram

Pretty Venus is gatorading...erm... retrograding hard and it will end on 12th April 2025. Retrogrades don't have the best reputation and are notoriously disliked. Because when a planet appears to move backwards it affects the areas of your life it rules. In this case, think of love, money, and beauty. All of this will feel and become sluggish.

"Venus is the planet of love and beauty, and so it’s also about one’s image," says Spiritual Coach and Crystal Therapist Zohra Shakti, "Your image may also take a hit this time, so it’s important to prioritise self-care and self-worth. Do not depend on your outer appearance for self-esteem; try to turn inwards and focus on your inner self more. This Venus Retrograde, pay attention to how you can make yourself feel good on the inside and outside, pour into yourself."

Not just that it is best not to experiment. The truth is this is not the time to just settle down in the salon chair and be like ‘Let's do something different and fun.'

Don't think of getting bangs (pretty, please!) if that thought is hovering in your mind. And if you're itching for a trim, play it safe and don't hit up a new salon.

Ahead, we share a basic routine to follow to ensure you don't regret your decisions sooner rather than later. Thank us later!

Beauty Routine To Follow When Venus Is In Retrograde

Ensure you use a soothing, calming cleanser—no matter your skin type to ensure that the barrier keeps you protected. Hell, we ain't giving pesky new pimples a way to get to us. We highly recommend Belif's Aqua bomb jelly cleanser.

Follow up with an all-rounder serum like Clinique's Moisture Surge Active Glow Serum. We particularly suggest you use this because it is a fuss-free option. It is enriched with 5% lactic acid that will gently exfoliate your skin. Also, has hyaluronic acid to keep your skin hydrated and Vitamin C to brighten your visage.

Once done, use a chemical sunscreen. We particularly suggest a chemical-based sunscreen because it is light in consistency and you won't ditch it. Often, people skip sunscreen simply because of how heavy it feels on the skin. We highly recommend Unkissed Sunscreen by d'you.

If you're planning to step out sans make-up, add a hint of colour to your lips using the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil in the shade Cherry.

Follow the same routine at night and if you still want to go a little extra, add a skin tint like the Huda Beauty GloWish Multi Dew Skin Tint.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
