Janhvi Kapoor is someone who always looks like she is having a lot of fun with her style. Whether it's her romantic Tarun Tahiliani pastel pink outfit at the Cannes Film Festival last year, or her sari with the pallu made entirely with mogras, she knows how to make a moment out of a look. Another thing Janhvi does really well is convey a message through her clothes. From wearing cricket-inspired outfits for the promotions of her movie Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, to wearing her mother Sridevi's outfits for special occasions, her fashion choices are intentional. One such message that she conveys through her outfits is her love for her South Indian Roots. Half-saris, temple jewellery, mogra-adorned braids often make appearances across her looks, and we are here for it! Here's looking back at the times Janhvi embraced the South Indian aesthetic with her looks.

While Janhvi has always been pretty expressive about her love for her South Indian roots, it was during the promotions of her movie Param Sundari, when she firmly reiterated her stance on the matter. Case in point: this beautiful Manish Malhotra look on her. Her gold tissue lehenga had an embroidered blouse, and the dupatta, which had a broad border, was draped as a sari to look like the South Indian half sari. To add to the drama, she added some extravagant temple jewellery—a dramatic kamarbandh, a traditional gold necklace, matching jhumkas, and bangles with a touch of green. What’s more, she also wore a dainty nose ring. To continue her love affair with Mogras, she wore her hair in a middle-parted bun with gajra around it. Love!

Here’s looking back at the time Janhvi Kapoor casually posted a mirror selfie in one of the most stunning South Indian looks she’s ever worn. She wore an ivory sari with rich temple jewellery—two dainty necklaces layered together, stacked gold bangles, a Kamarbandh, a maangtikka, and a pair of big jhumkas. We also love that she wore flowers in her hair.

In a beautiful color-block look, Janhvi Kapoor wore a blue and purple half sari, and styled it with half tied hair, minimal make-up, and dainty jewellery—this time diamonds instead of traditional gold temple jewellery—and called it a day. We love how simple, effortless, and fuss-free the look is.

The beautiful pink half sari, the stunning emerald jewellery, the half-tied wavy hair adorned with flowers, the little bindi, there is nothing not to love!

This stunning blue-on-blue, bling-galore half sari is styled beautifully with a dainty diamond necklace, diamond jhumkas, matching bangles, flower-adorned braid, and dewy makeup. You can take a cue from Janhvi and pair two shades of the same color together—hot pink and blush pink, mustard and butter yellow, lilac and aubergine purple!

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
