Actor Athiya Shetty just delivered a masterclass in being the perfect modern wedding guest in this embroidered cape and kaftan-style kurta from designer Masaba Gupta. It is a refreshingly regal yet modern look that grabs the sweet spot where the contemporary Indian wedding style is leaning toward.

The actor styled her hair in a middle-parted bun and rounded off the look with a pair of dangler earrings that came with an antique finish, embellished with full cut diamonds and emeralds. She spruced up the look further with two statement cuffs named Pyaar and Wisdom.

The structured coat in hot pink came with Masaba's signature motifs and the tissue kurta added the required amount of oomph. She also opted for a stunning potli to round off the outfit. An ideal look for the wedding attendees, the ensemble is a definitive conversation starter at any soiree.

    How to emulate the look

Athiya’s styling was restrained here. To recreate this look, opt for slicked-back hair, delicate gold earrings, and barely-there makeup that lets the outfit command attention. The look is a reminder that maximal garments require minimal styling. Pull your hair into a sleek bun or low ponytail to showcase the neckline. Opt for heirloom gold studs, slim jhumkas, or elongated earrings. Opt for warm bronzed skin, soft kohl, and a muted rose lip.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
