    Corsets

If you are following one trend this year, let it be this one! From Roseroom by Isha Jajodia to Tarun Tahiliani and Varun & Nidhika, every designer had their own take on the good old classic, but everyone had them nonetheless! The best part about corsets? They’re flattering on every body type!

    Drop Shoulder

Of all the necklines, this one is the most elegant and feminine of them all, in our humble opinion. Petite girlies, wya? BRB, going to channel our inner Belle from Beauty and The Beast!

    Pearl

While we saw a lot of interesting types of surface ornamentation this year, one trend that we anticipate becoming huge is pearls (lots of it!). There are a number of ways to embrace this trend. While Suneet Varma had a blouse with pearl embroidery all over it, Tarun Tahiliani chose to have a pallu made entirely with pearls!

    Sheer

From corsets to skirts to capes, we saw a lot of sheer at the Wedding Weekend. We’re particularly crushing over Ritu Kumar’s sheer embroidered skirt paired with an embroidered bodysuit.

    Red

Not that brides have ever needed a reason to wear red, it's good to know that red isn't going anywhere. From Amit Aggarwal and JJ Valaya to Jayanti Reddy and Rohit Bal, red was hot at the Wedding Weekend this year. While we saw colors like emerald green, ivory, and black, most designers seemed to have embraced red. Even for the menswear, might we add.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
