Nicobar's show in Delhi was a celebration of life and the joy of living.

A decade after it first began shaping a quiet yet distinctive design language, Nicobar celebrated its tenth anniversary with an intimate showcase that unfolded at Tulsi Garden Studio in New Delhi. Founded in 2016, by Simran Lal and Raul Rai, the brand marked the milestone not with spectacle, but with a gathering that reflected its core philosophy community, craft and conscious design.
For its anniversary celebration, the label turned the spotlight on what lies ahead. Guests were welcomed through an immersive Ubuntu curtain installation referencing the philosophy of interconnectedness that has long informed the brand’s worldview before an evening that felt part fashion presentation, part narrative of Nicobar’s evolving universe.
At the centre of the evening was the unveiling of a new eveningwear chapter, marking Nicobar’s first dedicated step into occasion dressing. Designed by co–creative director Aparna Chandra alongside the Nicobar design team, the collection extended the brand’s signature relaxed elegance into a more refined vocabulary. Fluid silhouettes, soft tailoring and understated embellishment defined the pieces, offering occasionwear that remained true to Nicobar’s quiet luxury aesthetic—effortless rather than ornate, modern yet rooted.
The evening also offered a first glimpse of an upcoming menswear collaboration with celebrated designer Rajesh Pratap Singh. Known for his sharply precise tailoring, Singh’s design language meets Nicobar’s laid-back modernity in a partnership that promises to reinterpret contemporary menswear through a lens of ease and craftsmanship.
Another highlight of the showcase was NicoBaraat, Nicobar’s wedding offering, which returns this season with a sharper perspective on modern Indian celebrations. The edit builds on the brand’s understated approach to festive dressing—think relaxed kurtas, tailored jackets and versatile separates designed for the contemporary wedding wardrobe.
