The gorgeous actress’s beauty routine is a must-follow for lazy girls...

Pooja Hegde has admitted, time and again, that she is a lazy girl when it comes to skincare and beauty. When she is not amassing millions of fans around the world (including Italian actress Monica Belluci!), the actress likes to relax with a homemade face pack and let her skin breathe.
Along with good genes, Pooja Hegde has perfected a simple beauty routine that leaves her skin healthy and glowing without much effort. Here are some of her skincare commandments that should be a mainstay in everyone’s routine…

This should be a no-brainer, but many people don’t realise the negative effects of sleeping without removing all make-up. Pooja Hegde claims that this is one skincare step that she never skips. “I take off my makeup no matter how sleepy I am,” said the actress in an older interview. According to her, leaving your make-up on while you’re sleeping can make you age faster.
Pooja Hegde trusts the power of the versatile coconut oil. When asked about a skincare tip that has been passed down in her family, she immediately replied that coconut oil has been a vital part of her skincare routine for ages. “I think the South Indian in me is just gonna say that there’s nothing like a nice coconut oil massage for your scalp. It’s really nourishing and it’s something that your scalp really needs,” she said. The actress also admitted that she follows a hack followed by Victoria’s Secret models which has her ingesting a spoonful of coconut oil every morning for its wellness benefits. “I think coconut oil is so magical. I am a total advocate for it.”

The actress relies on DIY home remedies to maintain her skin. One of her favourites is a face mask made using haldi (turmeric) and malai (fresh cream) that she regularly applies for a natural glow.
There’s no denying the power of a good moisturiser. Pooja Hegde claims to have dry skin and, therefore, insists upon the importance of moisturising in her skincare routine.

While the actress is no stranger to turning out high glam make-up looks, she prefers to go au naturel. She advises that focusing on smooth and glowing skin is better than relying on heavy bases and make-up. “Over the years, I feel I have grown more confident with my skin. I have become like less make-up is better and it’s more me. It’s all been a journey of finding myself. When I used to put a lot of makeup, a lot of people came up to me and said, ‘Oh my God, you look so different from what you look on screen,’ and that’s something that kind of really stuck with me. I wanted to be myself, and eventually I wanted to break free from these crutches of having to portray myself as somebody else and always be perfect. So I think over the course of time, I’ve kind of just been like less makeup is okay. If I have a freckle or something, it’s really okay. It’s normal.”
