What Is The Couple’s ‘Zero-Arguments’ Approach?
In a recent interview with CBS Mornings, George Clooney spoke about being lucky to have met his wife, Amal and how they never fight! The couple has been married for 10 years now, and as the co-host of the morning television program, Gayle King, talked to the Oceans Eleven star, he revealed that both Amal and he are still trying to find something to fight about.
“I remember we were here with you once before, and I remember we said we’d never argued,” King told and added, “We’re trying to find something to fight about.” During an interview with People Magazine, the actor had also spoken about being thrilled about his marriage and praised his wife, Amal Clooney. “I would support anything my wife is involved in. She’s always on the right side of history, and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her, no matter what,” he said proudly, speaking his mind about the love he has for her.
According to a 2002 study, couples who regularly avoided bringing up certain topics in a relationship often reported greater dissatisfaction than those who did not. Perhaps, George Clooney and Amal Clooney are exceptions! During the interview with CBS Mornings, the actor had also attributed this to having met his wife later (He’d started dating his now-wife at the age of 52). It seems, getting older really does leave you wiser or probably just less interested in unnecessary drama or conflict.
Whatever the case, it’s refreshing to hear the couple approach marriage in such a calm and composed way!
