    Fans of Pakistani TV shows are in for a treat as the month of Ramadan has introduced a slate of new shows to watch. Amongst these is one of the most anticipated TV shows of the year, Dil Wali Gali Mein.



    The rom-com focuses on the struggles of a young, newly-married couple who has to deal with a rocky start to their marriage. The show stars Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail in the lead roles, reuniting the fan-favourite pairing after the 2024 hit drama Zard Patton Ka Bunn.

    While Hamza Sohail is a performer to look out for, actress Sajal Aly is proving yet again why she is one of the most bankable stars in the Pakistani television industry.


    The actress made her debut back in 2009 but got her breakthrough moment with her role in the 2013 drama Nanhi. Over the years, Sajal Aly continued to deliver critically acclaimed performances in some of the most popular dramas. In 2017, the actress made her Bollywood debut when she starred alongside Sridevi in the thriller Mom.

    Sajal Aly proved her mettle as an actress when she essayed this role of an unlikeable character with pure grace and charm. The story follows the complicated love story of an actress who cannot see beyond her ambitions and a man who is hopelessly in love with her. While it’s far from the light and happy vibe of Dil Wali Gali Mein, it’s a must-watch for all Sajal Aly fans.

    This award-winning drama focuses on struggling actress Momina Sultan (Sajal Aly) and the wayward director Qalb-e-Momin (Hamza Ali Abbasi). The story traces their journey as they find each other and their shared connection with the troubled deceased starlet Husn-e-Jahan. Both the writing and the performances by the leads were lauded by critics across the board.

    The actress reunites with her O Rangreza co-star, Bilal Abbas, in this one. The show is another example of how Sajal Aly has a proclivity towards picking characters to play who are headstrong and steadfastly believe in championing women’s rights. In the show, Aaliya and Salman are rival real estate agents whose lives become intertwined in Aaliya’s struggle to retain her father’s family house.
