India’s luxury wedding and events industry is entering a new chapter. In a landmark announcement, Manish Malhotra and A Dot have come together to unveil what promises to be one of the country’s most ambitious celebration-led collaborations yet.

Set within Ambience Island, Gurugram, the association brings together Manish Malhotra’s cinematic design language and A Dot’s expansive architectural vision to create an immersive destination for weddings, MICE, and large-scale luxury experiences.

For decades, Manish Malhotra has shaped the visual vocabulary of Indian glamour. From redefining costume design in Bollywood to building one of India’s most influential couture and bridal wear labels, his work has consistently balanced heritage craftsmanship with contemporary luxury. Over time, that vision naturally extended into the world of celebrations, where fashion, ambience, décor, and storytelling began to merge into one immersive experience.

Now, through his collaboration with A Dot, that philosophy enters an entirely new dimension.

Located in Ambience Island, Gurugram, A Dot has quickly emerged as one of Delhi NCR’s most ambitious luxury event destinations. Spread across 75,000 square feet, the venue is defined by its pillarless architecture, expansive ceiling heights, golf course views, and large-format infrastructure designed to host everything from weddings and soirées to cultural events and MICE experiences.

Together, the collaboration aims to establish India’s first designer destination for weddings and celebrations — a space where couture sensibility meets architectural scale, and where every detail contributes to a singular, elevated experience.

Speaking about the association, Sarthak Saini, Director, A Dot, shared, “Indian celebrations are evolving. Today’s families are not only looking for just a venue; they are looking for a complete, elevated experience that is reserved for a few. This collaboration with Manish Malhotra allows us to bring together design, emotion, hospitality and scale in a way that feels truly special.”

The partnership also reflects the growing shift within India’s luxury wedding industry, where celebrations are increasingly becoming immersive, emotionally driven experiences rather than standalone events. Design, atmosphere, hospitality, fashion, and storytelling are no longer separate elements — they now exist together as part of one cohesive narrative.

Manish Malhotra echoed that sentiment while speaking about the announcement. “Over the years, my work has extended far beyond couture into the larger world of celebration, atmosphere, and experience. From cinema to weddings and immersive spaces, I have always been drawn to creating worlds that feel emotional, personal, and cinematic. Collaborating with A Dot is a natural extension of that vision, bringing together architecture, hospitality, and design to reimagine the future of luxury celebrations in India.”

His creative evolution into the world of experiential celebrations has already been visible through some of India’s most talked-about wedding moments. From the wedding festivities of Isha Ambani in Udaipur to serving as Creative Director for the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Malhotra has helped redefine the visual language of Indian weddings on a global stage. Across these celebrations, his approach consistently fused fashion, décor, ambience, and storytelling into immersive cultural experiences with cinematic scale.

With Manish Malhotra x A Dot, that design-led philosophy now finds a permanent address in Delhi NCR.

While more details around the collaboration are expected to unfold in the coming weeks, the announcement already signals a larger shift within India’s premium celebrations industry — one where luxury is no longer defined only by scale, but by emotion, intentionality, and immersive design.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
