A new addition to the chain of celebrations that began with the beginning of 2026, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa announced the name of their daughter in an Instagram post. The couple who announced the birth of their daughter in November 2025 made a joint post revealing their daughter’s name on 18 January 2026.
The post featured a picture of the couple holding their daughter’s little hands, offering a small glimpse of their baby girl for the first time since her birth. The post was captioned, “With folded hands and full hearts, we introduce our greatest blessing”. PARVATI PAUL RAO ✨ पार्वती पॉल राव.” The post was quick to garner attention as the couple’s fans, their friends, and well-wishers dropped their congratulatory messages on the post. Actress Aahana Kumra wrote, "Congratulations @patralekaa and @rajkummar_rao and welcome little Parvati.”
Several other names from the Entertainment industry were quick to follow suit as actor Ayushmann Khurrana, actress Tara Sutaria and Bhumi Pednekar, as well as designer Shantnu Nikhil, also dropped their heartfelt congratulations to the couple.
The couple had announced their pregnancy in July 2025 with a joint post on Instagram, captioned, “Baby on the way - Patralekhaa & Rajkummar." They had embraced parenthood later in November 2025 and had shared the news of the arrival of their first child through another joint post on Instagram, "We are over the moon, God has blessed us with a baby girl...Blessed parents Patralekhaa and Rajkummar," their post had read while the caption said, "🙏❤️ The greatest blessing God has given us on our 4th wedding anniversary."
Their love story had begun when they first shared the screen space in 2014, when their film, ‘CityLights’ had released. They had fallen in love on the set of the movie and had begun dating shortly after. Rajkummar had later proposed to his lady love in October 2021, and the couple had tied the knot in November 2021 in the presence of their family and close friends.
