Congratulations are in order for the royal Hashemite court of Jordan. Princess Aisha Bint Faisal, the daughter of Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein and Princess Alia Tabbaa, has gotten married to Karim Al Mufti in a traditional ceremony at the historic Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan.

Princess Aisha, the niece Princess Aisha is also the niece of King Abdullah and Queen Rania, looked like a vision in her wedding gown that was immediately reminiscent of Princess Grace of Monaco’s Helen Rose wedding gown from her wedding in 1956.

The Jordanian princess’ gown, too, featured a high-necked lace bodice over a satin under-bodice and skirt, and was accessorised with diamond jewellery. She added a floral tiara to complete the look, the same one that her sister Princess Ayah Bint Faisal wore for her wedding back in 2014.

Grace Kelly’s wedding dress is one of the most iconic bridal gowns in history and has inspired many remarkable ones over the years, including Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen wedding gown by Sarah Burton in 2011.

May God bless their union, unite them in harmony and grace, and grant them a life filled with love, and enduring happiness,” she wrote.

The venue holds a special place of importance for the Jordanian royals. It’s the same palace where most notable events of the country are held, including the weddings of the King and Queen of Jordan in 1993 and the 2023 nuptials of Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa.

Princess Aisha and Karim Al Mufti’s engagement was announced last year, in June 2024.

Here’s wishing the royal couple a lifetime of happiness!

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
