An intimate beginning to a new chapter!Sejal Kumar

It is time for celebration for Sejal Kumar, her fans and all her well-wishers as she ties the knot with her long-time partner, Bharat Subramanium. The Indian blogger and fashion influencer took to her Instagram handle and shared some glimpses from her dreamy wedding celebrations on December 15. An intimate ceremony held during the day, Sejal’s big day saw a refreshingly simple daytime celebration where she ditched heavy outfits and an over-the-top wedding setup. Rather, she chose to stay true to her understated style.

For her wedding, she opted out of heavy ensembles and wore a muted, green silk saree with self-work all over it.. Her saree was designed with pink borders that were highlighted with shimmery silver embroidery. A traditional drape, her pallu fell gracefully over her shoulder, and the look was pulled together with a heavily embroidered blouse.

Sejal accessorised her look with classic gold jewellery, including a statement choker necklace and delicate stud earrings. She had kept her makeup minimal with a light brown eyeshadow, mascara-coated lashes, a soft flush on her cheeks, and a nude pink lip shade. She let her hair fall over her shoulders, and her loose tresses in a side partition completed her look.

Meanwhile, Bharat wore a classic navy blue full-sleeved kurta and paired it with a traditional white South India-style Dhoti, complementing Sejal.

The photos from the wedding captured the beauty and simplicity of their big day and highlighted that a wedding does not have to be grand to feel meaningful.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
