Houston, we have another exciting new celebrity engagement! Actor Simu Liu has popped the question to his girlfriend Allison Hsu, and they’re now engaged. It might be the era of quiet proposals, but Simu Liu is all for the old school!

The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor took to Instagram to drop the news of his engagement with the marketing director. In the photos, Allison can be seen rocking a massive oval-cut diamond engagement ring. The photos also reveal that Simu Liu proposed to his now-fiancée in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Talk about romantic proposals 101, right?!

“From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always,” wrote the actor along with another set of photos shared on the social media platform.

The couple revealed their relationship in November 2022 when the two walked the red carpet at the premiere of Violent Night in Los Angeles. After making more appearances together as a couple, Simu Liu opened up about his relationship in an interview with People magazine. 

“I think she really just has taught me the value in so many things. She's absolutely changed my life, so I'm very, very grateful to have her,” he said. “She's really taught me that you have to fight for the time with the people that you love, she's really taught me that you need to be intentional and tend to each and every one of the relationships that matter to you.”

The actor also added, “I feel challenged and loved and cared for, and I feel championed," he said. "I think the best, healthiest relationships are ones where you have each other's back, and I definitely feel like that's the case.”
