“It feels very surreal,” says Shradha. “The second we exchanged rings, my heart was full.  It struck me that we’ve made it through everything that had gone into planning this day!”

Ambika Gupta, of The A-Cube Project, managed to turn the venue into a floral wonderland, straight out of a painting, for the three-day event.

“I’m a big floral girl at heart, and Ambika knew how much I love flowers,” she says, “There’s no one in the world I’d trust as blindly as her. I didn't even know how it was going to look, we didn't have a moodboard. It turned out to be pure magic.”

Ambika also managed to insert little personalised details that instantly warmed the couple’s hearts. “Nitesh is a professional football player, and she managed to include elements of that across the decor. It made him feel great, and it was too sweet,” recalls Shradha.

Shradha also credits her planners, Monil Shah and Karishma Mehta of KKings Weddings & Events, for pulling everything together for their special day. From finalising the destination to staying ahead of any weather-related chaos, they handled it all. “Everything was very uncertain till the last minute. My planner, Monil, was very instinctive in moving forward. It was very stressful in the moment, but they made it all happen smoothly.”

The soon-to-be bride and groom wore matching ivory Sabyasachi ensembles for the ceremony. “That was my vision,” she shares, “Us in ivory and everyone else in sage and mint-hued outfits!”

The stress of planning the event in a short time was enough for Shradha and Nitesh, and they claim a breather is what they need before they get to wedding planning. “We’ll take a while to start planning the wedding. It’s definitely not anytime soon!”

The bride envisions an intimate ceremony for her wedding...Epic Stories

When we had spoken to her right after the proposal back in April, she had claimed that she wanted a very intimate affair. “I’m a rather private person. I haven’t spoken about my relationship on social media,” she had said, “I would surely want a very, very intimate wedding with people whom I love. That’s the only thing I want.”

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
