The bride looked like a vision in a Jade Hill gown and veil, and the groom went with a traditional black and white tux.

Vini Raman shared an excerpt from her vows in an Instagram post. “It doesn’t matter where life takes us as long as I am with you I know I am home. I promise to be your number one fan, supporting you through the highs and lows, to always be interested when you excitedly talk about your day on the golf course and of course to occasionally let you win an argument! (sic),” she wrote.

After a beautiful ceremony in Melbourne, the couple flew to Chennai for their Hindu wedding ceremonyInstagram/Vini Raman

This was followed by a traditional Tamil-Hindu wedding ceremony in Chennai later that month. The pre-wedding ceremonies were kicked off with the nalangu, a typical Tamilian wedding ritual akin to the haldi ceremony in the Northern parts of India. For the ceremony, the cricketer wore an orange sherwani, while the bride looked beautiful in a traditional green and orange sari.

The main wedding day saw Glenn Maxwell don an ivory sherwani, while the bride went for a red and gold Kanjeevaram sari.

Since the cricketer went straight to playing matches right after the wedding, the couple never got to throw a reception for their friends and family. However, in April 2022, Glenn Maxwell’s IPL team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, threw a reception for the two in Mumbai.

In 2023, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, whom they named Logan Maverick Maxwell. The two continue to share glimpses of their blissful life on Instagram, and here’s wishing them a lifetime of joy and good fortune together!

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
