What began as an unexpected meeting at a house party grew into a deeply intentional relationship, marked by shared music, rain-soaked drives, and quiet gestures of love.

Everybody wishes for a perfect love story that begins at a moment they are least expecting, making for a story that can be told for years to come- to their kids, the kids of their kids. That is exactly how Diva and Vishesh’s love story began—at a house party, when they were least expecting it. A party that Diva hosted for a friend and Vishesh just happened to be invited, became the setting for their perfect love.
She initially thought he was a playboy, while he found her fun and cute. Over time, that first impression gave way to a relationship built with intention, where they grew to become more compatible not by chance, but through effort. Eight years later, with memories ranging from travelling the world together to a proposal in a quaint vineyard in Tuscany, their wedding, planned and executed by The Wedding Galore, became a reflection of both their journey and their friendship. Approximately 250 guests joined them from around the world across the celebrations.
But what is interesting is how the two understood that they were the ones for each other. “A couple of months in, we’d ‘joke’ about what it would be like if we were married and didn’t realise when it stopped being ironic, so there was no one moment, some part of us always knew, I guess.”
Their first date wasn’t officially a first date because the two were too shy to admit that they liked each other, but it did happen. And it happened at a quaint Italian restaurant, eight years ago.

And while the couple cherishes every moment of their love story, one memory from their early days that they both treasure is going for long drives in the rain. “He would pick me up in the evening, and we’d just drive around for hours listening to and sharing our favourite music. And lots of laughing,” Diva shares.
“He proposed in our villa in beautiful vineyard In Tuscany, he took me for a decoy picnic during sunset making me believe that’s where the proposal was going to be, but all the while the picnic was happening they were setting up the villa, with champagne, flowers and a cello player, when we finished the picnic I was really confused as to why he hadn’t proposed, but the second we were about to enter the villa I heard our song and saw him tearing up and knew it was about to happen, and it did.”
Diva shares that their relationship is ever evolving, to accommodate and love each other the best they can. “But at our core, we’re best friends who find each other very attractive.”
While neither of the two believed in grand gestures, the most romantic thing the couple has done for each other is to show up in the smallest ways, but consistently. “For instance, he’d come home with my favourite cupcake if he knew I was having a bad day, I’ll cook surprise dinners for him randomly.”

Talking about the kind of wedding they envisioned when they started planning for their big day, the couple stated that they had been planning a beach sunset wedding for a long time. “And that’s exactly what we got, we always wanted a fun wedding with lots of love and partying.”
Their wedding was a culmination of multiple things. “Instagram reels I’d saved over the 8 years we were together, weddings we’d attended and loved in the past, our favourite movies and music videos, for instance, the scene in crazy rich Asians when she does her bridal entry. All of it came together to create the celebration that we wanted.”
Choosing their wedding venue was something that came to them naturally. "Marriott resort and spa, Khao Lak, was a new property; the beach was untouched and stunning, which made us close it,” Diva revealed.
But it was the process of selecting their outfits that took longer. “It was a long process, multiple trips back and forth to Delhi and Bombay, except my wedding outfit, which my mom designed and took over a year to come together,” Diva shares. “And I think the sangeet ceremony where I performed was one function that I will always remember. I did a solo performance for Vishesh. And yes, my wedding entry!”

Their wedding was a special moment, but it became even more so, especially for both their families, as the couple incorporated traditions from their cultures. “During the wedding ceremony, a funny one is the bride’s mom pulling the groom’s nose as tightly as she can, it’s called ‘pokhvanu’”
What is a wedding without some fun surprises? “Vish made a 3-minute reel, which was a collection of all our memories over the past 8 years, which he sent just an hour before the wedding. I ended up crying so much we had to redo my makeup, and it was absolute chaos,” Diva recalled.
Diva went on to share some behind-the-scenes details from their wedding that had remained between her and Vishesh. “After our sangeet night, we went for a walk alone on the beach. It was the night before the wedding, just to spend time with each other and not let it pass by.”
If they could do anything differently, Diva says that they would have stressed less about the clothes.
While concluding, the couple advised other couples, saying, “Have as much fun as you can during this process, take time out for each other, and expect Murphy’s law, everything that can go wrong, will and if not you’re lucky, so there’s no point trying to control everything!”
