Priyanka Chopra’s romantic, softly undone braid is the perfect inspiration for minimalist brides this season.

Priyanka Chopra has once again taken over our Instagram feeds with her latest look as she attended the Globetrotter event for SS Rajamouli's new film Varanasi. And for the same, the actor was seen in a custom Anamika Khanna sari. Blending heritage with a hint of modern touch, the scalloped-border iteration was styled with lots of jewellery, which added a hint of royal charm. Draped in a distinct South Indian manner, she was styled by Ami Patel.
However, her hair caught our attention and gave us solid inspiration for the upcoming wedding season. And let’s be honest, hair often takes a backseat when preparing your bridal look. But do not leave your hairstylist for the last minute. And especially, if you are a minimalist bride, we highly recommend getting inspired by Priyanka Chopra’s latest look. And while the classic bun works well when you have a veil...However, loose braids which has soft movements are increasingly gaining traction. It is not complicated and also works great if you have fine hair. After all, the charm of a classic plait is undeniable and exudes romantic charm when you pepper the look with delicate flowers or add a Jadanagam like Priyanka.
For the uninitiated, Jadanagam is a traditional South Indian hair ornament, also known as a ‘hair serpent’ worn on a braided plait.
Ahead, read how you can recreate this style with easy steps.
The first step is to prep your hair, especially for loose braids beginning with dry hair.
Apply a serum that helps reduce frizz. Ensure you brush your hair thoroughly so that it looks polished from the back.

Comb the front neatly and keep the crown smooth. Now, create a middle parting and ensure you tease the crown ever-so slightly to give it volume.
Now tie a low ponytail and braid the ponytail in a regular 3-strand braid.

Keep it slightly loose and secure the braid’s end with a transparent elastic band.

The braid should look uniform and clean, so the accessories sit well. Add hair accessories of your choice. If the crown is flattening, take a fine-tooth comb and tease it to bring back the volume.
Then seal the deal with hair setting spray.

Smoothen flyaways with your fingers.
