There’s something instantly disarming about Vrinda Suri—the kind who is equal parts candid and considered. She’s carved a space online that feels refreshingly human in a world obsessed with polish. Whether she’s sharing unfiltered thoughts, sharp observations, or moments of everyday life that feel oddly familiar, Vrinda has a way of making the digital feel deeply personal. But what’s rather interesting is how her journey shaped the way she approached her style. “I stopped looking at fashion as something to be perceived. Rather, I started focusing more on what I like putting on my body and what brings me joy” Her personal style has evolved over the years. She says, “I’ve stopped overthinking a lot of things and stopped trying too hard. I used to think being fashionable is putting in a lot of effort into each look, but I understood that an effortless approach is what suits me.”

Talking about balancing her individuality with the occasion, as a wedding guest, Vrinda shares that she keeps her outfits super fun. “Even if they're not always traditional or family appropriate.  When it comes to Indian wear, I love dopamine dressing. I think lots of colour, lots of bling and fun silhouettes.”

For her wedding, guest dressing is more timeless than trend-led. “I think it's pretty timeless in the way that Indian trends don’t really stick for everyone. You’ll see so many people around you wearing outfits from their mums and grandmums' closet and when you're looking for inspiration from everywhere around you, your style also ends up becoming timeless.”

She believes that a good white suit is a must-have in every wedding guest’s wardrobe, something that is a key piece that one can rely on repeatedly for weddings. “You can take it from a simple day mehendi to dressing up for the main event with just a tweak in styling.”

One thing that Vrinda is very particular about is avoiding mindless consumption in a space driven by constant newness. “I like to revisit my previous outfits whenever I’m looking for new clothes. I’m a creature of habit so I love the comfort of repeating the same looks without having to think of something new.”

A piece of advice that Vrinda has for someone who was building a wedding guest wardrobe is, again, to have a good white suit. “Besides that, get a nice cocktail sari that’s flattering for you and experiment with a fun, colourful lehenga.”

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
