Priyanka, Nick and Ralph Lauren are a match made in sartorial heaven at the New York Fashion Week...

Ralph Lauren opened New York Fashion Week with a minimalist Spring 2026 show this season and showcased his Spring/Summer 2026 collection at his Madison Avenue headquarters. The moodboard was minimalist for Ralph for the SS26 collection.
Models walked in silk gowns and draped trousers contrasted by sharp shirting and tailored jackets. Menswear jackets thrown over bralettes and flowing dresses. The palette stayed close to black, white, and red, with occasional stripes and florals breaking the structure. While accessories like oversized silver jewellery, soft-brimmed hats, and textured bags.

The front row saw Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas turn heads in matching brown monochrome looks. For PC and Nick, Ralph Lauren isn’t just a designer they wear but he’s woven into the fabric of their relationship. Back in 2017, he invited both of them to the Met Gala, dressed in his looks, and that’s where they actually met in person after texting for a while. That night ended up being the start of their story.

A year later, Ralph even designed Priyanka’s wedding gown for their Christian wedding ceremony. So when the two showed up at his Spring 2026 show in those matching brown looks, it didn’t just feel like another fashion moment but felt like a circle closing.
At the NYFW, Priyanka paired a paisley blazer-and-skirt set, cinched with a statement belt, which was one of her chicest looks in recent memory, while Nick kept it sleek in a brown suit and patterned tie. Other guests included Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, Usher, and Oprah Winfrey.
With this show, Ralph Lauren has now set the tone for Fashion Week with a simple idea that minimalism is not all neutral and monotones but it is done with precision with a relevant palette and structure.
It was Ralph Lauren at his most refined pared back and far far from plain. Each look felt modern but still carried the timeless codes of his brand.
New York Fashion Week officially begins September 11 and runs through September 16, with shows by Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Coach, and Tory Burch on the schedule. A key highlight of NYFW will be the return of Alexander Wang for his brand’s 20th anniversary, alongside new voices like Luar and LaQuan Smith who are expected to draw powerhouse celebrities.
